EBP Academy is an intensive year-long immersive experience conducting an evidence-based practice project under the direction of our Office of Nursing Research program faculty.

Program Components
• Six full days of interactive, hands-on learning with program faculty over the course of one-year
• Clinical nurses will be released from clinical care 8 hours per week for classroom learning and working on the project with faculty and teams
• Upon completion, students will have a completed EBP project.
• Classes are led and mentoring is provided by established nursing researchers and a master’s prepared medical librarian
• No more than one person will be selected from any microsystem to participate
Minimum Requirements
• Must have been in their role at UVA Health for >1 year
• Non-direct patient care nurses are eligible but will not receive time buy out
• Managerial support to attend all classes and conduct an evidence-based practice project in your area
